Mrs. Valerie Nebo
I began my career as an educator by returning to the school district whose teachers had inspired me to devote my professional life to education. My professional journey includes the degrees of Bachelor's of Science in Secondary Education from California University of Pennsylvania (now PennWest California) and a Master's in Educational Leadership from Cal State East Bay. I enjoy the opportunity schools provide to continually learn and grow, whether in formal training, through collaborating with administrators, educators and support staff, through working with our parent community, or through a conversation with a student. I endeavor to inspire this love for lifelong learning in all of our students.
As a former student of LVJUSD, a former teacher in our school district, a parent of four students in LVJUSD, and a school principal in our school district, I view our schools from a variety of perspectives. I am passionate about education and the success of our students, no matter how great or small, is a tremendous source of joy. In my 20+ years of experience, I have served as a high school English teacher, leadership teacher, International Baccalaureate coordinator, middle school vice principal, high school vice principal, and elementary school principal. I am grateful to serve the students and families of the community in which I grew up and currently live.
